Dracula Awakens Achievement Guide (Walkthrough) – Just a basic achievement guide, nothing more, nothing less! I hope you have taken so much time to enjoy the game.
Dracula Awakens Achievement Guide (Walkthrough)
Fallen King: Beat the game to the normal ending by entering the underground catacombs, collecting all the gems, activating the portal, and luring Dracula inside.
About Time: The clock puzzle is located in the left tower as you climb the stairs to the second floor in the foyer. You will need to collect all the coins to open the door. Grab the key you see at the back of the coffin to get the missing hand, it’s on the right of the clock, and use it to unlock the other tower door. The second tower is opposite the first tower. One of the letters mentioned the “darkest hour” to turn the hands of the clock to, but in case you missed it, it’s “4.20 pm” – the moment of sacrifice!
Door Breaker: Get it by opening the first tower door after collecting all the coins. The order is Soldier – Sword – Monster – Immortality.Easy Prey: Go ahead, give Dracula a little nibble.
Coin Finder: You will need to collect all the canvases found throughout the castle and bring them to the fountain. Interact with the silver sign to learn a hint poem. The trick to order the canvases is to look at the arrows on the ground attached to the canvas frames: the frames closest to you have arrows pointing down, the one farthest has an arrow pointing up. The order of canvas placement is Valley – Dark Clouds – Dark Clouds – Moon.
Beethoven’s Disciple: The piano room will be revealed when you solve the library puzzle (see: Sherlock) and you can play the piano by picking up the sheet music from the music stand on the second floor. To solve the puzzle, all you have to do is follow the button/key prompts when they line up with the red circle. You’ll need to complete the puzzle twice to solve the puzzle – the first round is practice!
Castle Cleaner: Kill all ghosts and bats (Lilith is not necessary for this achievement, but you should kill her anyway). Every room in the castle except the foyer, towers and basement has at least one bat and/or ghost. Ghosts will moan and bats will flap and squeak for their audio signals, so look around if you hear anything.
Good Eyes: On the second floor, you’ll come across a room with six bat statues and two moon paintings. Turn the bat sculptures to face the moon paintings. The bats closest to the moon image should face that particular image and there should be three bat statues per image.
Excellent Reader: There are three letters in the game, all of which are right next to each other to store points into servants. You should read them all! They may have clues to other puzzles…
Sherlock: This puzzle is in the library. Check for bookshelves that have gargoyles on them – each of these bookshelves has a book that acts as a switch. There are three on the first floor, and one on the second. You have to activate all of them within a certain time frame. I recommend clearing the room of its enemies first (two ghosts, three bats if I remember correctly) so dealing with them doesn’t eat up your timing.
Vandal: To solve this, you must first collect the dead bat from the pantry on the first floor and the thermos bottle from the chest in the servant’s bedroom. Take them both to the garden and feed the dead bat to a carnivorous plant we’ll call Audrey. After a good feed, Audrey starts spitting some acid. Fill the thermal flask with acid and then return to the foyer. On one of the walls of the first floor, you will find a portrait of Dracula. Pour acid on the portrait to complete this puzzle – everyone is an art critic!
Fireman: The dining room in the castle has a fireplace with a cheerful, warm fire that must be put out to get one of the cloth puzzle pieces. There are two servants’ bathrooms on the first floor: one with an empty bucket, the other with a broken pipe dripping with water. I trust you will know what to do.
Hungry: Find a dead bat in the pantry and feed it to a carnivorous plant in the garden – Feed Me, Seymore!
Giving Up: Once you enter the castle, Dracula tells you to leave. Take his advice, turn around, and don’t go out that front door.
Vampire King: You have all the achievements! Hurrah!
What? At the beginning of the game you talk to your boss and he gives you an ultimatum: get the football boots or get fired. Talk to him repeatedly until he gives up and lets you keep your job without you having to do anything.
The End: Complete the game to the point where you are prompted to enter the underground catacombs, collect the crystals, and activate the portal. Instead, just walk away! Saving the world sounds like someone else’s problem (Note: I’m not 100% sure if you have to finish the game up to this particular point or not, but that’s what triggered the achievement for me; you can also trigger No Job Achievement at the same time if you they haven’t picked up their jacket yet).
No Job: Bram’s jacket is on one of the bunks in the guest room, but you’ll ignore it. DO NOT pick it up, just complete the game without it in your inventory.
Fallen Wife: Kill Dracula’s love interest by photographing her until she dies. Five or six photos should be enough. The easiest time to do this is when it is in the garden and you have enough space to maneuver around it.
No Eyes: You know what let Lilith nibble on you too!
Employed: Bram’s jacket is on one of the bunks in the guest room in the second tower. Collect it and complete the game.
