Reign of Guilds Mining and Alloy Guide

Let’s go over the basics of smelting using NPC furnaces and alloys spread across the map.

Ore

To my current knowledge you can pick up 3 types of ore, copper, iron and Dwarhinite.

Ore comes in different sizes (s/m/l), grades (1-100) and weights (kg).

The yield depends on these stats, the higher the grade and the bigger the part, the better the return.

Mines

Mines can be located all over the map, most of them have multiple entrances.

Once in the mines head down into the area full of heretics, in this large main chamber of the mines you will find copper and iron ores scattered across the ground.

The mines also host an NPC that has an ore quest. Next to this NPC is the entrance to the lower part of the mines.

At the bottom of the mines you will encounter Unburied (Skeletons) and find Copper, Iron and Dwarrrhinite. This ore looks different, it has a lighter color.

Smelter NPC

Reign of Guilds Mining and Alloy Guide

This NPC can be found in several villages and towns, the icon looks almost like a spilling bucket of paint.

This NPC has 3 different cards, Recycle, Split and Merge. It is located in the upper left corner of the NPC shop window.

The Recycle tab is used to refine the ore into its basic materials, ingots and powders.

The Split tab is used to further split refined materials.

Large ingots divided into medium ingots, medium ingots into small ingots, small ingots into dust.

The Merge tab is used to combine materials.

Dust into small ingots, Small ingots into medium and so on.

This works for all dust, not just copper, iron, and dwarf dust. Some Quests require materials made this way.

Alloy Smelter NPC

This NPC can be found in several villages and towns located next to the Smelter NPC.

This NPC offers to smelt your dust into various alloys.

They exchange copper ingots for broken weapons, iron ingots for troll hammers, and dwarf ingots for troll armor.

This NPC can also create Tier V and VI Cauldrons.
